I have an 1984 c10 3-speed column shift. Im looking to do an engine swap, but I want to keep the 3-speed. I currently have a 250cu l6. What engines would mate with my tranny? Thanks for the help!

Most all the engines from that era. GM kept most everything interchangeable.

Shoot man. As long as it's the standard GM bellhousing you could put in anything from a 350 to an LT-1 to an 8.1L. Sky is the limit. They even make adapters for cummins motors. Your choice bud. I'd be more worried about motor mounts and clearances for that bigger stuff!

You could run a 4.3.
Bullet proof engine and plenty of power in a 3 speed manual C10.
