So, I ordered a seal kit for my transfer case, np208. I think I installed the large gaskets backwards. The gasket that goes between the 700r4 and the adaptor, and the gasket that goes between the adaptor and transfer case. Does anyone know which one goes to which side? I'm guessing they are side specific, but I don't know. It won't stop leaking, might have gotten them wrong.

The adapter to 700r4 should be a square profile O-ring. The gasket in you photo on the right is adapter to np208

Not used on GM 208s (208s were used by GM, ford, and dodge). Most of those gasket/seal/bearing kits are for multiple transfer cases, so typical they have some unused parts.

Annoying they don’t mention this or what fits what case.
