Now that I got y'all's attention..... So I'm swapping nv4500's currently in my 85. They are both early version (93 & 94). The one I just rebuilt has the higher gears and removable shift tower but otherwise identical. I happened to notice the 94 does not have a DRAIN plug! It's like it was not drilled and tapped at the factory. Very odd. The FILL plug is there, but no drain bung. Not wanting to drill and tap it at this point, so I guess I'll just pull the inspection cover when the time comes. The inside of the cover is where the magnet resides so maybe they assume if you got to change the oil you will clean the magnet as well? Who knows.
