Hello,

Going to go look at a 2500 burb with a 6.2. I have a 17’ 10k flatbed. The burbs bumpers will overhang the trailer as a burb is roughly 18’.

Seeing as I will be using every bit of the trailer’s available length, there won’t be much opportunity to adjust the tongue weight. If I center it on the trailer pictured below, will I be way too tongue heavy? Never towed a burb and not sure what the balance is like. It’s about 5 hours away, so not like I’m dragging it around the corner.

Isn't that about the length of the two axle u haul trailer?

I ask because my dad towed a 4x4 burb for me one time with a similar size u haul trailer and the damn thing kept wagging.
It was behind his 07 2500 hd

It got slightly better one the way back because we put a bunch of scrap and heavy metal in the back of his truck.

I would think if you pushed the burb as far up on the trailer as possible, then threw the trailer ramps in the back of the tow vehicle (since they will need to come off anyway) you should be okay. I'd be worried about a panic stop thought without a front rail on the trailer. Maybe try to fabricate or fasten some wheel stops as far forward as possible. Just remember, you want 20%-25% (the higher the better) of the total weight to be tongue weight. With that calculation, you "should" be okay.

What is the tow vehicle? Rating on that trailer both gross weight and tongue limit, how new are the tires, load rating.

Have you considered a tow dolly? Yank the driveshaft and go provided vehicle has good tires and towable.
