Most of the tow truck operators quit cluckin'. I don't think they are here often.

Sorry, I left the business almost a year ago. In a way I kinda miss it but I really can't see myself going back to towing.

You went to work for the wrong asshat otherwise you'd have been back at it by now.

I tried the towing deal for a year(big stuff) and I like it was fun, only thing I hated was being on call, if it wouldn't have been for that I would have stayed with it..

It wasn't bad until it was. I'm not going to find anyone around here that would be able to give me what I want. I'm just not interested in all the on-call time expected from the local companies around here. If I were 100 miles south I could find more what I'm looking for but not up here.

Yup, it's not for everybody. I don't have a ****** life so on call was no big deal. And I worked for companies where even if slow during the day, I was at the house. In fact, that was my deal, if they wanted me to work for them, they knew I'd work 48 hours straight if needed to and I have but I damn sure not going to sit around your yard with my thumb in my ass not getting paid. Some days I'd stay at home till Noon then work til 2 or 3 am and back up at 5am to roll a few calls then back home by 7 or 8am back to bed and up again about 1 or 2 for the afternoon rush. In short, I only worked when the wheels went round and round. You can hire idiots to warm the sofa in the break room.

Can't find it now. I've got another pic of Camel Tow in a conventional. I think there's a Camel Tow or Camel Towing in every state now days.
