Yes, mine did. Had to readjust after I got lockup working
I knew something was up with that. My truck had been shifting really good, then all of a sudden I get the lock-up working, and my shift points changed dramatically and shifting out of 1st really late & hard. . I'm still kicking around the WHY.
What size tires do you have? I have 3.08s with 31s and mins at 20,35, and after I get my foot off the floor lolI went from this pattern-- 2nd: 10 mph 3rd: 35 mph 4th: 50-55 mph
to this -- 2nd: 15 mph 3rd: 25 mph 4th: 35 mph Lockup: 45 mph
the 3.08s don't like the lock up shift pattern... I have got to get some 3.73 or 4.11s
Well, I bypassed the pressure switch, put direct 12V line into the solenoid, and took it for a spin, hit the toggle on 4th gear and Guess what? My lock-up is working beautifully! On the way home, I also noticed that my tranny as taking longer to to shift out of 1st and 2nd gears. Could have been low on fluid, or the damn filter dropped down again.
Did you get my tip about that filter dropping down??? Not sure which type you have, but doubling up or adding an O ring to the filter tube will give it a little holding strength.
Big Progress. At least you know the Solenoid is working properly and the TCC is locking up. Now you're getting somewhere !!!
