Putting 33"s on a stock truck is pushing it, They are gonna rub depending on how wide they are. My guess is that they could work with quite a bit of fender trimming. They are very wide especially on a 20x12 wheel.

You need a minimum of 4" of lift to clear them with no rubbing issues. I went up 6" to have the option to go with 35's in the future.

Hey HotRod, would the lock-up function affect the TV cable adjustment?

I knew something was up with that. My truck had been shifting really good, then all of a sudden I get the lock-up working, and my shift points changed dramatically and its shifting out of 1st really late & hard. . I'm still kicking around the WHY.

I went from this pattern-- 2nd: 10 mph 3rd: 35 mph 4th: 50-55 mph

to this -- 2nd: 15 mph 3rd: 25 mph 4th: 35 mph Lockup: 45 mph

the 3.08s don't like the lock up shift pattern... I have got to get some 3.73 or 4.11s

Well, I bypassed the pressure switch, put direct 12V line into the solenoid, and took it for a spin, hit the toggle on 4th gear and Guess what? My lock-up is working beautifully! On the way home, I also noticed that my tranny as taking longer to to shift out of 1st and 2nd gears. Could have been low on fluid, or the damn filter dropped down again.

Did you get my tip about that filter dropping down??? Not sure which type you have, but doubling up or adding an O ring to the filter tube will give it a little holding strength.

Big Progress. At least you know the Solenoid is working properly and the TCC is locking up. :waytogo: Now you're getting somewhere !!!

Yeah, I meant to ask you about that. What do you do, take off the orange seal it comes with, and use O-rings similar in thickness as the orange thingy?

Today when I was out on the truck, and the lock-up kicked it, it was so cool. And my original wiring in-cab was working good, the brake switch was interrupting the circuit just like it was meant to do. I couldn't believe how much that helps your engine on the freeway. Ever since I changed the gear ratio to 3.73 my truck has had a higher rpm at 70mph. Today as I was cruising at 70mph with the lock-up, it was like I still had the 3.08s. Now I just gotta figure out how to get 12V power past that fuggin pressure switch, and order me up an adjustable vacuum switch and vacuum gauge to set it up.
