You would laugh at what i eventually found out when i pulled the motor. It was a butterfly valve on the exhaust manifold that was just a flappinProlly got one in the bottom of your oil pan and don't even know it.

Look here . When all the water boils out of the pot if you can sift through the speculation , guesses, and hail Mary voodoo , replacing the shaft coupler sleeve is THE cheapest way to fix it - if that's your problem.
Five bucks and a 9/16 with a #2 Phillips.
Replace that dealy and see if it still makes the noise..might fix it first shot.
Man i was livid when i found out what it wasThat's a new one! Pretty tough to diagnose engine noises over the internet though the information I provided is valid. Maybe it can help somebody else...
