If you know the fuel pump is wrong the distributor is swapped and the carb is junk then you're just here to get the magical "nothings wrong with it" answer. Someone said they got the their rebuild kit at Napa for your carb in your question, you kinda just glanced over it then swapped another not correct carb. When you haven't touched anything else. I understand you're now waiting for parts, but it's not gonna magically get better by itself.

Also a truck body without extra modification will not work on a suburban frame. The frames are definitely not the same. Then it wouldn't look right either.

Not trying to be an ass but probably coming off as one and that's fine. If you're here to just update that's cool, but make a build thread. If you're trying to get answers then stay in a thread like this. Just confusing if you want help or just chatting. Seems like you don't want help.

Don't matter to me lol

i said this frame looks just like the 3/4 frame under the suburban as in its a heavy half truck.
i swapped carbs because the monojet litterally corroded a hole from the bowl to the throat from it sitting with mud duabers and water. i also couldn't find a monojet for what i deemed a reasonable price with an automatic electric choke(60 dollars and it still needs a rebuild and shaft seals is just unacceptable. plus most of the time irs the wring choke and thats another 30 bucks) the distributor is original to the motor since i litterally said this truck has an overdrive automatic which only started happening around the time they went to hei style distributors on the 250. ive since found out the cab is a 77 and most of the rest is random parts off of other squarebodys of various years. the drivetrain being the newest parts.
if i wanted to spend the money on the correct original parts i would be 3k into the truck to get it right since i would need to finish the engine swap somebody started already, plus the wiring and setting the brakes up properly (i have 2 different drums on the back. my solution is a different rear axle since i don't want the semi floating anyway)

i will do my best. currently debating on finishing the previous owners efi swap and if the i6 is gonna be strong enough for the 4wd. my guess is not really but it just has to get places and occasionally help trucks and tractors out of ditches and carry tools and 120v power to run bigger tools (i picked the inverter up from a van conversion 30 amps should be fine. im looking for a big 140 amp rv alternator to make an aux mount for and run the exciter on a toggle)

How were we supposed to know the distributor was correct until post 18,you literally said on your previous post you put on a distributor that looks just the one on your 454,not I put on a distributor from a 198? I6. What year is your motor? What year is your dostributor,What did your carbureator originally come off? Have you checked compression, that's step number one on a mystery motor, before they even run.
