I’m going for a cattle show and last year there was a swap meet going on down there so it could be going on again this year

There's the Cars & Parts swap meet a few times a year. They are a "must-go" for any car guy, especially the warm season events.

All that comes on the engine. All I’ll need is the new lines. What should I tell Napa I need lines for so I get the right ones?

my 90 suburban has the AC on the passenger side, so does my 92 gmc, so just pick a newer year than yours.

Well today I got the confirmation the motor finally shipped. This project should be underway somewhat soon here.

I finally got the engine here. Now I have a few questions. As far as vacuum lines, this carb has two ports. I was thinking one port for the break booster then putting a T on the other one and running the heat controls, vacuum ball, and trans vacuum line (th400) off of it. Does that sound right? Am I missing any important vacuum lines? Then for the fuel system can I have the mechanical pump on the block draw through the factory tbi pump or should I take the factory pump out of the tanks and get a different sending unit?

Get a different sending unit... why did they reinvent the wheel and come up witha serp setup that mounts the ac so low? Thiose stock lines mentioned before wprobably wont work with that serp setup and the compressor is different also.

I’m not sure. I kinda wondered the same thing. This actually has two belts so not a deep setup but way better than the stock setup. I think I’m just gonna measure how long I need and get the hoses custom made

I also did some more looking and found that the carb has another vacuum port so I’m thinking that I should run for the trans and the other for the vacuum ball and hvac?

Can I just buy a sending unit for an 86 and put it in my tank? I’d rather not get new tanks as I have plastic ones on my truck now.

yeah you can buy the 86 sending , may have to make an adapter plug ir reuse the 87 sending unit plag to mate to the harness just leave the pump wires unpined. There should be a port on the intake for the brakes to get manifold vac, freeing up the other ports for hvac/emissions/whatever. Think I see it in the pic you posted, copper/brass pl;ug in runner for cylinders 6/8

I’m not sure. My dad put them in about 20 years ago
