TBI to carb swap, will the cruise control still work?

I'm just about done converting my 1988 K5/5.7/700R4 to a carb'd set up. I noticed today as I was cleaning up the engine bay wiring harness that the cruise control "pod" didn't have any electrical going to it, just vac lines. With that in mind, will the cruise control still work even tho I've removed all the sensors etc?

no sure what the K5 setup is, but in my 89 suburban the cruise speed sensor comes off the speedo - which is a pain in the arse as the speedo isnt working at the moment so no cruise control

Yep, I'm driving the rig from CA to Alaska this spring, a 3000 mile trip and I'm hoping the cruise works!

I don't have your answer but since the earlier models also had cruise control could you contact a company like Painless Wiring or some other wiring company and ask them what they recommend? May even be able to call on of the carburetor companies techs to see if they can help. Just brainstorming.
