My lights were acting up.
Had my headlights. Fuse ok, switch ok.

Blinkers worked. Hazards worked brakes lights work. It was my running lights that wouldn't come on.

Now, I was about to post here earlier asking for help, but I found the issue, fixed it, everything works.
What im confused about is this, ill try n post a pic. Right as I was about to give up and seek extra help. I noticed the wiring harness comes out ofnthe C channel (frame) where it then splits off into the respective plugs going to each tail lights assembly.

Its basically a regular 16 gauge trailer wiring harness, is that what you guys have?
Look at the chafe that happened there and it sort of melted and fuses, but never popped a fuse

Anyways, fix was get a new trailer harness, splice it in and we're done.

I dunno how long that one was up there for, it was dry and crispy. Chafing is one thing, but I dunno how bad vibrations are back there not like there's a lot of push n pulling of this wire. Just the cause I thought was weird.

Ive got a the damaged part cut out ill get a better picture next time i go to the truck

I have a truck that needs the rear harness. Was just going to pick up generic 4 wire trailer harness, they are already shielded usually. As long as the tail light harness is good.

Mouse damage?

Mice teeth constantly grow like some other animals. Once a mouse figures out primary wire works well for teeth sharping, it becomes their go to instead sticks and stones.

That's what i did i was gonna cut out the poopy part and spkoce there. But it was so dry and crispy everytime I'd try to separate the 4 wires into individuals or would just break. Luckily i got a 25 ft reel for 50 canuck bucks. About 20 usd. Lol
Not difficult labour wise, just following the harness through the frame is messy work.

I just thought maybe GM had a harness from front to back. Now they do maybe not back then.

Never considered mice. I've seen a few running out but not enough to even entertain that as a possibility.
So coz we have an outdoor cat that roams in our land. But...I guess anything is possible!?

A cat will discourage the mice. Even if the cat is well fed, it is instinct for the females, feed their young.
