I'm thinking a front bar will do wonders, even if it's just a stock C10 bar. You've increased the center of gravity by a large amount and that will have a big effect on the handling with a stock or near stock spring rate.

One reason I suggested an aftermarket front bar though is because you can upgrade to end links, rather than using the stock end bushings that are always binding.
Any thickness or one you suggest? I don't know what would be considered good.... yet.

Is there a difference to spring rates between coilovers and regular springs? As in. If a regular spring says it's 850lb in is it stiffer compared to a coilover of the same rate? Or do I have this all wrong?

It depends on location and how it's mounted.

If the coilovers are mounted exactly where the original coil springs were, it should be comparable. But I'm no spring expert.
