Super swampers on a dully

Anyone running super swampers on factory dully rims? Im leaning on going with humvee wheels up front super swampers offers a 32" x12 x 16.5 that I think I would like. I don't care I'll run a spacers in the back if there to wide, I would like a matching tread set all the way around. This truck is just for around town and trips to get gravel occasionally, if the front to back height isn't perfect it won't bother me just asking for pics and experience with the swampers for a dully

I wouldn't run swampers on a heavy truck on the road IMO...

Swampers are super soft and the tread wears pretty quick on pavements

Original TSL Has a harder compound I think. Had 30k on a set that still had 10/32 left. Ultimate traction tire and killer looks. Only thing that stops them is ice covered pavement! You would have to run pretty thick spacer for them to run a dually rim

If you put super swampers on a heavy dually and drive it only on the street and occasionally gravel, you'll probably burn them up in like 10k miles no joke, 12 if you're lucky. That's an expensive tire to piss away for the sake of style (not to mention you need 6 of them). Super swampers are designed for exactly that, swamps and mud bogs. For your application you'd be better off with some A/Ts. If you're simply trying to look "cool" I would suggest some hybrid M/Ts or better yet buy a truck that isn't a dually.

The look you're trying to accomplish and the truck you have aren't really compatible. With the exception of a couple dually fanboys and "yeeaaaahhhh gots me a diesel **** yeahhh rollin coaaaaaallllll!" guys, most everyone would agree. Honestly it will look kinda silly

After 10+ years on my dually, I still really like my bias Power King tires. Despite looking like an old Ground Hawg, they ride nice and wear well. I do need to replace mine, but only because of age and dry rot.

Isn't Power King and Super Swampers like apples and oranges? Bias vs Radial?

Before posting this reply I did a quick search, and Interco has a few "Super Swamper" variants. Some Bias, some radial. All cool tread patterns. Didn't even bother looking at price, I'm not buying them...lol... Summit Racing had the most listings from the search.

Even without 4 wheel drive it looks like it has it. Well, whenever Andy hooks it up, then it will have 4x4.

I really need to get around to fixing that one of these days, lol. It doesn't help that there's usually enough traction the way it is. Technically, it is in fact 4 wheel drive

I thought this topic was history, but since it's not....I politely said "we will see what happens" , you are correct a did want to say go **** yourself! There are a few dullys I have seen on here that look bad ass with swampers, I don't live in a dry climate I have mud in the spring and snow in the winter. My truck also has a 8' plow on it. Is that something you have a problem with as well? If you read into the original post a Little deeper I asked about swampers so I have matching tread front and rear because I'm trying to locate and run humvee 16.5" wheels in the front. Super swampers happen to be 1 of 2 company's that offer a mud tire on a 16.5 inch wheel.

If the blade is on the front, then is there alot of difference in the tire pushing it? No one will fault you on having big jacked up tires, if that is what You want on Your truck. Ask for advise, you get advise, expect some of it to be passionate advise. It is not that hard to figure out.

Interco has a blem list that they have cheaper tires on. Not sure the chances of them having the size you need- but worth checking out.

They have 35X10.00-16 (8 in stock) for $175 each just as an example.

I just spent too much on tires and wheels for my truck- but it makes me happy.
