I have always thought that mounting the sub facing up under the seat would give you the best bass in the seat of your pants feeling ? LOL no but seriously ?
Then the wife would find a reason to want to drive the truck lol!

Sent from the dust in front of you!

I have decided to part ways with my 92 GMC extended cab that I would like to move the 2 10" subs to the '87.

Right now they are mounted in a box that's designed to go underneath the back seat of them extended cab trucks.

I have a pair of 12" subs in a custom mdf speaker box behind my seat. I am 6' -1" and I still have ample leg room...and a ton of bass. I mounted the subs as low as possible in the enclosure (one behind the driver and the other behind the passenger section of the bench seat). It's a tight fit, but even though they aren't shallow mount subs they fit......plan ahead and measure twice.

More info needed: brand, model, box dimensions, and pics. How many clicks forward is your seat?

Here are some I had in a 83 C10. Not 12's though. Two Kicker 10's and two amps, the seat was able to go all the way back with this box. Pics arent very good.

The truck I dive now just has 1 10 in a box and it lets the seat go back also. It's not the best sub. I think it's a Pioneer. Sounds ok for my type of music though.
