Have you ever seen such a cheezy aux cooling fan? If you look closely its a factory installed unit! I've never seen one on a square body. Have you?

Finally about a week ago the body work starts! I had a sanding party at my garage and invited my friends over for food and beer! We got a TON of work done and its getting close to primer now. Found a few more places I need to weld up to help her become somewhat water tight.

Check out my roll bar gussets! Still need to finish making them for all uprights. What do you think?

They are standard with a 454 and a tow package. I've had 4 trucks with them.

I've been sanding my butt off these past weeks and now its paying off. Got her covered with some epoxy sealer and several coats of hi build primer. Back to sanding....

Coming along nicely. Yes, I've seen the fan in all my big block trucks and suburbans if they had a 454, TH-400, A/C and 4:10 gears. The fans were also on 91-99 bodies. I've had a total of 5. My K30 is the only one that did not. The only difference I can see on this one is that it came with 3:73 gears.

Your Burb doesn't have one?

My old '86 had one, it had 3.73 gearing.

Now that I think about it, it probably does. It's been over a year since I've had it apart to see that so I probably just forgot it was there

That's thinking "outta da box", or, taking the lid off the box? I like it. I have a mid 80's suburban on my property someone busted all the side and back glass out of. I would give it to someone if they wanted to do something with it. Motor (died), tranny, and interior (bad) are still there. Bought it thinking I would harvest the front and rear axles. Might harvest the dash unless I give it away so something like that. It's located in Vernon Arizona at my mountain property if anyone is interested. Oh yeah, Rust Free.

Lots of wet sanding been happening on the Wagon this past week. Its alot of real estate to tackle alone. Been all over the beast several times, including each separate door. I have NO fingerprints left. Also got back the front bench from my guys at CoachCraft Upholstery. Then I sanded the roll cage and coated with with rattle can bed liner which left a textured feel. It looks great!
