If you pull the horn caps off, I can tell you what else may fit. GM had a few different attachment types that were common, and then a few oddballs.

If you pull the horn caps off, I can tell you what else may fit. GM had a few different attachment types that were common, and then a few oddballs.
even blank or non-brand identity would work, so cool, when i can be sure the hornets are gone i can sit in the musty car and get to it. i got the steering wheel puller and impact, would only take minutes id think.

Maybe even have a working horn if things go right

I couldn't tell for sure, but it looked like the little hook tab was broken off the end. It's very common when the horn contact wire isn't removed carefully.

That's a variation of the proper tool, yes. There are some simpler tools out there that are more user friendly, but that should work.

I don't know if this video is representative of the square body, but you are suggesting I swap the green piece, correct? Not the white cams?

yes but scary murder hornets inside and im not deathly allergic, but ill give em a couple weeks to be retarded and slow and i can gas em

the green thing is where the horn button is, when you depress pad there is like a metal plate that completes the circuit or provides ground(idk which) by touching the button i think.

No. That's all I took before I left the truck this weekend. I'm trying to wrap my head around the schematic on the LMC website though. I thought the spring and pin (2) were installed before the cancel cam/switch (3).

They can be, but they can be installed last as well. The spring and pin have that retaining collar with a little nub on it. The little nub has to be rotated into place on the end of the cancel cam, and that's the part that commonly breaks off of the cancel cam.

After looking at your pictures again, the cancel cam appears to be damaged and the contact wire has no way of being held in.

And PO's can be lazy. Quite often, horns have aftermarket dash buttons to activate them because nobody felt like diagnosing the actual problem. Like a broken cancel cam.


This is exactly why I installed an air horn with button on the dash. It was really easy. Lol
