OK so that means the end of the spring is 8" above the bracket. When it is flipped it will be 8" below the bracket for a total of 16" of difference but since it is only lifting the rear half of the spring it will only net around 8" lift. And that seems like too much. Most of the time I've seen 4" shackles, flipped equaling 4" of lift. With 8" of shackle flip lift your pinion angle is really gonna suck which is why I'm saying I dont think it is actually an 8" shackle. Not calling you a liar just saying get a ruler or tape measure and be sure. Cause if it is 8" you're going to have some work making it work right. How much lift are you wanting to get anyway?

I dont think so, more like 3.5" but since I dont have a stock one anymore I can't say for sure. I can say the ORD shackles look longer than stock and yield 4" of lift flipped.

I know it's longer than 3.5, I thought it was 5-5.5 inches. Maybe it's only 4.5 inches long. Also, I think the ORD brackets might move the pivot point up slightly, compared to the stock hanger.

Ok i see what ure saying it is 7 inches I will get about 3.5 inch of lift.

LOL no. If the shackle is 7" long, and you move it 7" below the frame rail by flipping it, that's 14" which has to be divided by 2 so it will net around 7" of lift. I would like to see a pic of that shackle.

Yep you got it now. You still may run into pinion angle problems but nothing that cant be overcome.

i temp done it on my mud truck just to get the back to match the front

12'' front springs

stock blazer rear springs 6'' block and the home grown shackle flip

i do not like it i would never run it like that

shacle flip gave that truck right around 4''

i have taken 2 wheel drive truck hangers off the front of the rear springs and used them and liked it that way

Take the front rear leaf spring hangers from another truck and use them for the shackle flip in the rear.
