spindles

ok I'm looking for some drop spindles looking to drop 4 to 5 in
what is the best bang for the buck spring and spindles

bellteck 3" , McGaughy's , western chass, dmj , 2.5 - 3 " drop spindles
and 1" spring

I'll be going with Western Chassis 2.5 spindles and 2" coils.

Always heard stay away from djm, seen more bad things about them than good, but some have had good luck, also heard their lowered control arms have been known to fail.

A 3 inch spindle can easily cause suspension interference with 15 inch wheels. I would only consider a 2 inch spindle and make the other 2 or 3 up with a spring or what-have-you. I wouldn't run a 3 inch drop spring though.

I have a McGaughy's 3" drop spindle and 2" drop coils...but I am running 20x8 up front due to the needed clearance. The 15 inch wheels will rub the inner lip, knocking the wheel weights off and grazing the lower oem control arms. A total of 5" front and 7" out back (axle flip and hangers). I wouldn't recommend lower control arms since the spring bucket hangs too low and limits road clearance.

I wouldn't run a 3 inch drop spring though.
My truck had Western Chassis 3" coils, and surprisingly it had a real nice ride not too firm and not too soft.

One of my donor trucks has their lowered control arms(so I was told)and they are kinda scary looking, and way too close to the ground.

thanks guys keep the info coming and if you have pics please post them up

only plan on spindles and springs and running 15 x 8 rims

so it sounds like I cant use the bellteck 3" so I will look at the 2.5 then
with a 3/4 ton springs with 1 coil cut off

I've been running the CPP 5" set up in front which is dropped spindles and springs and the 7" flip in the rear. CPP I've had on several other trucks and have always been really pleased with their products threw the years.

Thanks Donnie! Wheels have always been a tough choice for me. I'm very happy with the Riddlers.

I haven't used cpp products, so I don't have an opinion on them. I have heard negative components about their brake setup though. Im currently searching for a big brake setup and a disc conversion for the rear. Price and quality are key.
