I replaced my spark plug wires with some inexpensive ones from Rock Auto, but they don't fit quite right. So I'm looking for the correct wires for the truck it's an 86 with a 305ci, I think it's an H code engine whatever that means. Should I go with the AC Delco brand? I'd prefer ones that have a straight plug end connector, not the 90 degree ones and the rubber part(not sure what it's called) that connects to the cover on the distributor.
I need to buy some wire separators too, mine are missing.

When I searched the net about wires, I found a lot of questions like: Taylors are expensive; if I'm not going to use Taylor, what would be second best?

So I got the Taylors. They aren't that expensive. When I went to a car show after I put them on, a guy came buy who works at one of the many speed shops around here and said: Oh, you got the Taylor wires; that's what we use on all the race cars.

Thanks Mike and Rich, I'll take a look at them. That would be nice to be able to cut them to the length I need.

I run Jegs 'Street Spark' in my hotrod since I switched from Accel yellow cut-to-fits. The red truck has pre-terminated MSD street wires.
I learned to HATE cut to fit, good luck.

I prefer the cut-to-fit. I can't sleep at night unless my plug wires are routed EXACTLY how I want them. I can deal with a good set of pre-terminated wires if I have to, but sometimes it just pisses my off to look at them. OCD I guess.

The budget grey/black ones I have had bad luck with. IDK about NPAP, but the Autozone one's, I've seen hem arcing right out of the box. I'd go pull boneyard OEM wire's before I used those again.

NAPA's Blue Max wires are fantastic, every bit as good as factory wires. Other than sometimes the lengths aren't perfect.
