Then here's one of the short strut rods from the aluminum K Case Torque Converter/Flexplate cover to the engine mount. There's 2 of these, one to each engine mount.

@HotRodPC , should a manual have them as well?
from what i gather the sm465 and the adapter is robust and short/strong compared to aluminum a wide th350 casing so it doesnt need it. apparently that torque-twisty movement between two cases(th350 maybe is cast iron, but its still brittle compared to sm465??) breaks the bellhousing thingy

lets see it in one large shot, perhaps you have a slapping condition with objects such as the ground or a mount broken or perhaps you have a really good clutch and like to dump the clutch as the kids say and you have 400hp at the wheels

I'm not sure if the SM465 got the short ones from the flexplate cover but I've seen the long one used for SM465.

Are 465 and th drive shafts the same length? If so, then length wise the strut should be the same, no?

i thought i read something about certain year/certain t case having the same lenght and i think it was later np208 and sm465 to earlier np205/th350, but maybe only certain years.
