To preface; I get groceries and do daycare runs in an 02 Tahoe.

Now,I build steel buildings and barndominiums but we sometimes get slow in the winter. So I send half of my guys to split all the oakwood we have collected throughout the year and the other half to help me fix up old trucks....to make money to pay bills....

I just picked up very clean inside 2wd blazer,,is it still k5 or something else??, year of my birth,

And Everytime I open the door my brain only sees a baby seat sitting back there and sunshine and rainbows lolol. I think I want to sell the tahoe and go all out on cleaning this one up thus breaking rule number 1: never fall n love ...
I have drank aaaalllll the Kool aid I think.

Fairly new to this site so this is also part of my elaborate scheme to get my post count up lol

Thanks for reading guys and gals

daily driving a 30 yr old vehicle will have problems to work through, it will also decrease value of the nice find you have. I would keep a cheap reliable vehicle while attempting to dd an older vehicle until it has proven itself reliable enough to not cause you to miss work or cost money to repair.

Yessir that's the plan, I have a 19 f350 diesel(I don't know about this word "cheap" you speak of lol) planning on fixing her up as best as I can to be as reliable as possible and slowly go from there but totally agree to not even think about it without a backup

Once you fix everything in the 30 year old vehicle its no longer a 30 year old vehicle in my book. The only issue I see is how the dings and abuse of daily use will wear on you after you fix it up. Also, think about agreed value insurance that what if there is a loss to the vehicle, insurance doesnt cut you a check for $37.50 and a lunch voucher for Sizzlers.

I say cheap because I dont like making payments... well at all lol its a waste to make a monthly payment on a vehicle you dont use and its a waste to make a payment on a vehicle you are driving and wearing out.. That and keeping insurance on an older beater car is cheaper than full coverage on a new car.

If not falling in love is rule number one, I’ve broken it time and time again. For me, cars and dogs fill up the void that most people fill up with kids. Nothing wrong with kids, they’re just not for me. Looking forward to pics. It’s possible to daily it after you work the kinks out. My daily turns 34 in November, and it’s been more reliable than I could have ever hoped for. What year is yours? ‘82 was the last year for the RWD K5.

This may be an unpopular opinion but some 18-20" steels with dog dish caps would look sweet.

Wish it had tan interior. Don't know yet but probably going with a slightly darker green and white paint job.
