Yes it does have the RPO. I’m not sure the measurements

I have looked at my RPO codes for specific info, but part of my sticker is missing so I can't decode the entire thing. I always assumed mine was aftermarket installed years ago, but it looks just like yours. Do you know if yours is factory?

I see that it's the kind that part in the middle and the two sides open apart and slide open to each side. Okay, don't say "duh", I know. This last pic of yours AuroraGirl is it. does it come stock? I remember seeing those back in the day I always thought they were aftermarket. But I guess not but factory. I always wondered where they got it. The one you are showing in the pic with the truck cab upside down is like mine and it's a CR Laurance that opens to the right.

But I'll tell you this, I thought that it was going to be great to have that window open along with the other windows. I thought there would be a gale force wind with that window open to. Boy, was i WRONG. But I have to say I have headers and all that came through that window was a gale force wind of steel melting heat!! And moving was worse. Ha, ha, ha. Man I shut that thing quick and the only time I open it is when the truck is stopped and turned off. Even sitting at a stop light there was just too much heat coming in. I could put something between the bed and the cab but that defeats the whole thing. You shouldn't have to do anything.

Part of it is how air flows that rolls back into the bed as it comes over the top of the cab. There's a horizontal vortex that draws air up between the cab and the bed end that's what caused the header heat to come up. The air at midway point in the bed is pushed out the back and up over the top of the tailgate. I don't have a tale gate so the air can flow right out. But what I've notice by experimenting with different materials is that horizontal vortex at the back of the cab at the front end plate of the bed. That's why there is always leaves up against the front of the bed, and any other trash that happens to be in the bed.

The trim may have changed with model years. My dad’s 87 looks like mine and his truck is completely stock except for the top of the cab was painted black above the cab corner trim years ago. He bought his truck off an older guy in 1990 or 91 with about 30k miles on it. It may have 75k now.

Sliding windows were a great way to access the beer cooler in the back, and a way to dump the empties. Other than that, not so great.

there are different brands etc, some aftermarket an some factory,, so make sure you get same one as what you have for parts or jut replacfe the entire unit,. they are very common out there and used old ones are cheap for these... if the yards arun you keep old stuff very long in which they dont ever here,...and they rarely ever get anything older than later 90s anyways.. all was scrapped long ago around here when scrap was up high.,.,,.,.., im looking for one for my '75 right now so i can ditch my solid back glass, and i dont need an intact or working latches or lock.... but no one seems ot want to maile me one to 62656 central IL... i have no bed on my truck so it doesnt have the vacuum air issue in front end of bed so leaves and dirt and junk wont fly into cab throguh the open slider glass.

You could have mine... missing glass panes tho!

But on a serious note, I can show you guys an aftermarket from the 90s likely of sliding rear and i have the two personal examples of factory sliding rear and my dad who lives 5 min away has a factory sliding rear. All are the same, but all from 1975-1980, nothing square eyed. But i may have to be selfish and keep the latch for myself

I have one off my parts truck I dont need. I like the non sliding better so it'll probably just get crushed after I've robbed all the pieces I need for Ol' Boy

I disagree. I love the back window open and Windows down for fresh air. No need for a/c.
