How come differentials didn't come with posi-trac as standard equipment? It's stupid that all power is transferred to the wheel that doesn't have traction.

Because even back then they knew the non driving idiots would find the ditches even quicker with too much traction. Just look at any northern state and all the ********* that can't drive cars loaded with electronic nanny systems.

There is! Go to User CP and on the left, click "Edit Options". Scroll down a ways and you'll see a drop down menu allowing you to select how threads are displayed. Select the option for "Newest First".

Thanks! Now that I changed it it will take me a while to get used to LOL!

Any recommendations on tail lens replacements w/ chrome trim? Mine are pretty tired and I plan on putting strobes in soon.

I grabbed a set the last time I was at the p.a.p. Couldn't remember what shape the ones on my truck were in, and figured a spare set wouldn't hurt.

Other than LMC...

I didn't see the lenses in there, just LED conversions. I'm mostly interested in quality. I might try to clean mine and see how they Polish up.

Many parts stores and farm stores have new tail light lenses on the shelves.

Might check here...
http://www.brotherstrucks.com/prodinfo.asp?number=TLL87RD
I ordered a new sliding rear window from them. Couple things to note, there was no security "lock" in the address bar when I was checking out, so I'm not sure how secure their checkout is. You might want to call them and order instead. Also, shipping was not included in my total and I was pretty pissed to see my account hit for more than what I thought. Buyer beware!!!!

Hmm...thanks guys, guess I'll try finding some on ebay/amazon and rolling the dice if clean up doesn't work. The red isn't so bad, but the clear is more brown than clear. lol

Questions about crew cabs:

1) Did the crew cab come in different bed lengths? I think all I've seen is crew cabs with a long bed.

2) Surely there's no crew cab stepside, right?

3) Is a suburban basically a crewcab short bed?

4) Wheel base difference between suburban and crew cab?

1) Long bed.

2) Don't think so, @RetroC10Sport would know. People have at least built them.

3) Nope. Suburban is basically a combo of regular pickup, crew cab, and K5 parts and dimensions.

4) Suburban wheelbase is a couple inches shorter than a reg cab pickup.

Yeah, GM was about 30 years behind Ford and Dodge on offering a shortbed CC.
