my signals quit out of the blue the other day but the marker lights/flashers and brake lights all seem fine - any tips ? took the steering mech apart but looks ok / changed the flasher relay - still no luck

the flasher relay is what I would've thought, I'd get a wiring diagram and just start tracing it from the battery to the light and see where you lost continuity, maybe try bypassing the flasher to check and see if you got a bad relay

Check the flasher relay in the fuse block and see if that fixes it. You might have 2 of them, 1 for flashers and 1 for turn signals.
