Nice truck! but always hated those headlights. Rather the single square seal beam WT style
I prefer glass sealed beam style lights lights on most my stuff for longevity and durability stand point, and they dont fog up like the plastic crap, but style wise, I like the look of the plastic rectangles on the 90s chevys better honestly.

2009 Civic 1.8L
Filled the tank this morning. I average around 20 mpg with the AC on driving in 3rd. SO FAR LaFawnduh D. Honduh has outrun a 95-96? 4.6L Mustang GT and a 2005-2006? 2500 HD chebby pulling an empty 14 foot trailer in that bad little mother.

Gave $2100 for it 2.5 years ago!

I daily a 2010 5spd civic I bought last summer for $2k with only 120k on it. Clear coat is gone but otherwise the thing is mechanically completely solid. So far I threw on a used set of tires (and alloy wheels) for a buck fiddy, a set of wiper blades, and a bunch of oil changes. The A/C compressor blew up so I just put a belt on from a non-A/C car, but whatever. The thing gets 30mpg no matter how hard I whoop on it, my 97 mile round trip daily commute is mostly highway so that allows me quite a bit of allegedly 3 digit speed over long distance at more than twice the mileage of my 2500 gets while going easy on it.

The thing is lame, but I'm happy with how cheap it is to own, has already more than paid for itself. And for only a 1.8l N/A car I am surprised by how "quick" it is sometimes. Not "fast" by any real sense, but it gets out of its own way if you rev the piss out of it. Hah makes diesel owners mad when they are trying to be cool and beat a lane merge while rolling coal and the nose of this little blue shoebox won't drop into their cloud, poking its ugly little nose out the entire time. Hah and I will second that, I too have inched past more than one late 90's mustang GT as well, something about power to weight. They may have 50 more HP than my little economy car that is all stock down to the factory airbox and muffler, but I'm like 1,200lbs less and have shorter gearing. They might be able to go faster in the top end but we're talking Mustangs here, they usually get scared and back off around 120, and I don't hit the governor until 126. Oh boy are Mustang owners a touchy bunch, it's SOOO easy to make them mad no matter what you drive. Though I will admit a Mustang is far better at doing burnouts than a Civic. They got one thing on me.

I agree. Those lights look too much like the ugly '89-91 suburban/blazer/crewcab lights they used to try to emulate the same look. They didn't look great on the GMT400s, and look even worse when GM decided to slap them on squares to try to look "current". I wish you could still option stuff with sealed beams, round ones even. So much better looking in every scenario.

Bah! Mini quads are way cooler looking! IMHO, they even look better than the composites.

I love the look of the quad headlights on the GMT400 trucks, and I like them on a square, but I'll admit the later style front end isn't my favorite. I might change it at some point, or I might just leave it how it is. If I can get my hands on a nice OEM GMC grille for a good price, I'll definitely consider going back to the original look.

Your disgust for Mustangs makes up for your appreciation of Civics (though you justified it well).

I can agree with that. They really do all look good, but those are favorites for those 2 generations. I have a favorite for each generation, but those are my top.
And I love the styling for all the different years up to 2007 as well, but I dont mind the 07 to 13s. Its after 13 that I tap out. Do not like the new stuff.

My daily driver cars are my Corvettes and my Z28’s. Most of the time we take my wife’s Yukon XL Denali. I’d rather drive my cars but she said she likes to sit higher up to see everything. It’s way more comfortable than my Corvettes or Camaros but I still love to bang gears. I own over 20 cars/trucks. I have one for each day of the week. I still haven’t drove my other Corvettes or Z28’s this year. They are still covered up with battery tenders on them. Too busy trying to get both of my Step sides on the road. Not enough hours in the day. I wish we could skip sleep and just keep working instead. Haha.
