I had an '03 ZR2 S10 Blazer back when it was like a 7 or 8 year old truck with ~100k miles on it. While better than a big block, I maybe got 14mpg mostly highway, wouldn't exactly call that a fuel saver. I had quite the commute when gas prices were a decent amount less than they are now, and I spent a good chunk of my paycheck on fuel.

Hah, when I had it I was amazed at how "crappy" I thought it was, but now sadly enough I do miss it quite a bit. I had some 31" KM2s on it and it was surprisingly unstoppable offroad even while otherwise stock, and was a ton of fun in the snow. Fcuker I sold it to let his girlfriend drive it and hit a tree a month or two later.

That thing is pretty clean, usually they're all rusted to sh!t the rare times you still see them on the road around here. It's so weird, these things used to be EVERYWHERE and now it's like they never existed

I remember when they first started selling the ZR2 Blazers, they were popular. The local dealer marked them up 5k, just because they could.

I've been getting 18-20 mpg, every tank. And that's with almost zero time spent on the interstate. Lowest recorded mpg was 16.5 but that was with about 100 miles pulling around a 14ft enclosed trailer. That's a significant increase over the constant 10mpg my Suburban gets. The lack of a t-case probably helps a slight amount, but the 5-speed is probably a big help too.

A good friend of mine has had 2 different ZR2 S10's and they were downright impressive in stock form. He has an '02 4x4 2dr Blazer now, non-ZR2 but is also a 5-speed and it does pretty good I guess. Without the ground clearance and the rear locker, it's not as capable as his old S10.

Most I bought through government auction over the years with some from private owners.
It's a "green disease".

Oh yeah 2wd and 5spd really helps I'm sure, those are some great numbers. Mine was a 4.3, 4x4, auto, and mud terrains (and my heavy foot in the pedal). When I went from the Blazer to my 87 GMC longbed with a 350tbi I barely noticed a difference

Those little things are actually kind of hard to find in 5spd, I had a friend with a pickup that was standard, but never personally seen a blazer. That was probably my biggest gripe with the truck, well that and the push button 4x4 that worked only when it felt like it. I actually drilled and plugged a little drain hole so I could drain the transmission fluid out of the vacuum diaphragm when 4x4 started getting finicky before it downright stopped working.

Had a tire goin low last nite and find myself @Discount Tire before lunch. Talking with Eric the homeboy here about the price of an aluminum 96 inch 3x3 post going from $131 to $180 OVERNIGHT. (for the porch)

ANYWAYS!
He's looking in my file here and says " wow, you bought those KUMHOs one year ago - yesterday.
Wow indeed!
Say Eric - how much do they cost now?

Paid $80 each 366 days ago.
Today sold for $111 EACH!

The price increased 37.5% in 366 days.

As you were.

2009 Civic 1.8L
Filled the tank this morning. I average around 20 mpg with the AC on driving in 3rd. SO FAR LaFawnduh D. Honduh has outrun a 95-96? 4.6L Mustang GT and a 2005-2006? 2500 HD chebby pulling an empty 14 foot trailer in that bad little mother.

Gave $2100 for it 2.5 years ago!
Go head - talk your smack then let's line em up huh?

finally getting to where my TA will be getting in to daily driver status. Might not even change a cam any more with current gasoline prices. Currently about 24mpg in town. Stealth needs tires badly, and tire prices are notf riendly

Id line it up with my lumina lol, I already have lined the lumina up with several hondas, dodge trucks, Ford Taurus, etc
:Big Laugh:

I've had that mf flat burn a tire from 1st-2nd, and then bouncing off the Rev limiter in 2nd while still burning the tire lol

And there's still room in the timing tables for more spark advance if I wanna run 93 in it

What's it with every single Civic owner thinking their jank is "fast". @Rusty Nail I was hoping you'd be different but I'm sadly disappointed in you. Your POS is not fast and 20 mpg is pretty poor fuel economy for that little car, too. :(

No. Not considering the little car IDLES almost 60 hours a week with the AC on and then outruns lesser vehicles after putting around 42 acres of rocks in first gear- 20 mpg is really great. I hope to get 200 miles out of the 10 gallon tank in 5 days with 60 hours on the clock. Sure it would be much higher if I drove all that gas away but I don't. It's a 4 wheeled air conditioner mostly.

Great little car I hate to love.
It's uncomfortable AF but cannot be beat for $2100.
Would buy again.

No doubt!
Only reason I even own a car period is because this lumina was bought for the low purchase price of 100$

"Cracked block"

Nope. Front motor cover was leaking.

'02 Escalade 6.0 LQ9, AWD, I just hit 125k miles. Drives great, everything works. There's rust on the rockers, but 20 years of salty winters will do that. The pearl white paint still shines nice.

Even though I drive the Escalade most days, I still drive my '89 pickup quite a bit. I've owned this truck for several years and I absolutely love it....

Thanks! It's one of my favorite vehicles I've ever owned. '89 4x4 with a TBI 350, SM465, and a lot of rust but it has been a damn good truck. Definitely a keeper.

Here's what it looked like when I bought it, I think 2016 maybe.....
