Serpentine Conversion question

Ok now we know you can easily transfer the brackets over from 90s sbc to earlier blocks.

Now i need to retain my smog pump for emissions here in PA. so has anyone here done a serpentine conversion and maintained the pump? I'm tried a couple different things and i keep running into issues mounting the 87 pump to the 90 bracket.

And how do i route the belt then?

What are your brackets from? '88-'92 Camaros have a smog pump and serp belt. There's actually two ways to run the belt and GM did both ways.

1990 k2500. Has provisions for a pump. But I had to grind down the mounts on the pump to get it to fit inside the bracket. Then I had to rotate it bc of the output tube on the back hitting. Not tube is against the exhaust manifold. Thoughts?

1990 Chevy 1500,I took a bracket off but the guys was wanting to start chopping/crushing the pickup so I had to hurry,broke the bracket,I was`nt after the bracket,just the A/C pump.
It had a smog pump too but I disconnected that and left it hanging.

The early GMT 400 trucks (probably '88-'89 for the small block) had one big stamped steel bracket that mounted everything for the serp setup.

I've got a couple Camaro smog pumps, I could send you one to see if it works. I may not have the upper pump bolt though, it goes through the bracket, through the pump, back through the bracket again and then threads into the cylinder head.

I have bolts long enough. Are they smaller then the square body? Or what's noticeably different?

I looked up smog pumps on auto zones website to compare product numbers. 87 Camaro and 87 v20 use the same. 85 k10 is different. I'm gonna try the pump from my 85 and see if there is any difference. I also looked up 1990 k2500 and its the same pump as the 87s. So Idk what to take out of all this haha

Pretty sure most, pull it and re-route the belt or use a delete pulley.

I went with a delete pulley. At first glance it looks like it still there.

If just needed for State inspection, a pulley may work if the inspector isnt the sharpest tool in the shed, or just gut it so its free-wheeling.

I'll pull it if you guys have suggestion on how to pass a visual emissions test. And will it do anything to the ecm for the tbi by not having it there? I know it has a wire to the obd1 plug

TBI issues? and how easy would it be to just hollow out the pump so it still looks legit?

what year pump is that??? mine has a rubber hose that connects it to the diverter valve not a metal bracket/tube

If the pump and stuff is all there, might as well just leave it functional. I only remove them to free up space under the hood and make it easier to get at the spark plugs.
