Maybe an ignition interlock “chip” type device or hidden kill switch. You can also get a regular alarm. If I’m somewhere I’ll be in for a while or leaving it parked somewhere all day, I have a few low tech steps and one medium tech.
I have a hidden switch for my digital 6 ignition box—everything will work except the ignition, so it’ll just crank the starter till it kills the battery. If I’ll be gone for longer, I load a tune into the ecu that commands zero spark and zero fuel, then take the ecu controller with me. But just in case someone’s carrying around a spare sniper controller, I can also pull the fuel relay and I have a little length of wire I can pull from the ECU relay trigger wire that has fairly unique, but different connectors on either end. Nobody is putting all those pieces together.
However, if I don’t strategically park—someone with a wrecker can drag most anything down the street to steal it.

My favorite, instant on alarm, no stickers, no warning lights, leave the truck unlocked.Fuel cut off valve. Instant on they think you're a sucker until they open the door, and hopefully run off before damaging your truck.So they are brave nd they dont run they get the truck started and it dies as soon as they get it in the road. They definitely aren't going to try to diagnose a dead truck with an alarm going off while they're blocking traffic..Ignition kill on a square body is to easily defeated so is a starter interlock.

Love the fact this question comes up a day after the 'how do I break into my square' thread.
Reality is anything can be stolen/broken into from anywhere, no matter how it is disabled/protected.
For instance the painting known as 'the scream' by Edvard Munch was stolen twice. Someone's dorm room wall might have the original right now.

I'm still rocking the original factory security system..... Door lock with keyed entry. Sorry I'm of no help.

i usually leave the keys in. have a "i don't call 911" sticker on the back window as well as a Trump sticker. seems to work

I've found an EMPTY holster on the seat works well for me in all my vehicles

I put a blinking red LED in the dash that came on when the ignition was off. Even with the doors unlocked, I watched people look in and just walk away.
Did I mention I hate alarms, especially when they go off at 5:30 am when the neighbor or my son is leaving for work?

Pretty sure a thief could give a **** what stickers are on the vehicle. If you went to look at a vehicle would you really be turned away by a sticker of something you may or may not be into?
The idea of a firearm in a vehicle actually makes it MORE likely to be broken into.

That would be my feeling, as security systems are usually for when the vehicle is unattended!
Not if you are a side arm carrier. Not saying I am or am not but would be a great conversation starter if I walked up on someone trying to get into my vehicle.
