It's a permanent part of the plunger/piston.. It's non-serviceable, doesn't come in the kit.. The only way to remove/replace is to separate the rod hanger from the piston and that's an unequivocal NO-NO.. You don't ever want to "tinker" with the hanger in any way.. Back in my day (I've been away from auto repair for almost 25 years) the power piston was a serviceable part, available over the counter at a GM dealership..
So WTF? did the guy that rebuilt it before me put the wrong power piston in there? what would that one have come from? Like I said, I know some dink rebuilt it before me because there were two spacer/washer guys in that spot where there should have been one.
