I put gmt800 seats in my truck (see link in my signature). Those seats are from a GMT400.

For some reason I don't see signatures, ***Edit*** had a screwy setting

That's why it's always a good idea to see everyone's signatures. It's a great way for people to keep handy important threads they've created.

here's the link to my GMT800 seat mod in my '77. To do it right it and make it look like the seats belong it requires extensive modifications. Not sure what's involved for the GMT400 seats to fit.

Wow, that looks like a lot of work, not to mention having to move the gas tanks. If my floor was bad I might think about doing it, but I really don't want to move the gas tanks right now.

I think I'll take a look at them, but will probably pass.

Sure glad I asked before I ended up with a set of seats I couldn't use. :(

Like I said, may not be as much involved with those GMT400 seats you linked. I've not looks deeply into those and they are a lot different than the ones I used.

I'll look at them tomorrow, and pay particular interest in how much clearance there is at the rear mounts.

The gmt400 seats will be similar. The floor pan in those is pretty flat too.

I was thinking about getting the saddle blanket type. What makes them so bad?
