Okay guys i got a lead on some front buckets out of a 07 suburban. Wanting to mount them in my 86 K5. From what I've read this is possible correct? Just going to have to drill new holes and wire in the power? Its that power that I'm a little worried about. Will it be fine just getting it from the fuse box....? Any suggestions would truly be appreciated

Me personally I'd run a wire from full battery voltage with a circuit breaker in line. Them little motors can pull some amps and if they have seat heaters you definitely want to go that route.

So pull a new line from the battery and make it it's own circuit with the breaker for the power seats and heater. Sounds like a better option and probably safer.

I'd still seperate heat and seat motors.

If you decide to go with Blazer/Suburban Buckets remember to check the hinge covers. They are often broken or missing and can be hard to find. Especially the passenger side. Ask me how I know...

Does anyone have any pictures of seats they’ve put in?

I’ve got a good seat in a 94 that I’m thinking about installing in my 79. Anyone have any idea how much fabricating that would involved?

Is it a solid bench? That one should go in easily with tracks from an '81+ squarebody. Iirc, it's a a bolt-in type deal.

Just make comparisons with your current tracks, I can't remember the differences, if any. Iirc, they bolt to the seat frame differently but that's not to say it can't be made to work with some new holes.
