Its actually an 85 Body. He wants $1400 for the whole truck with the new motor and trans, but its Turbo 350 and cast iron Tcase, so not sure if its NP203 or NP205. He said he'd pull the motor and trans and sell the rest of it for $400. I asked, its bench seat model. You ever get interested in something like this let me know. I'd probably split the $400 with you. You can have the body and interior, and I'll take the frame and chassis parts to convert my 2wd Burb to 4x4.

How about HRPC and 89Sub go in together on that Burb and you both take what you want and then whatever is left over is divided and sold. By the end you may end up with a free body and a free frame between the two of your! :D

That's the way I think, but there is also many miles between us. All I'd need out of the thing is the frame itself and the front axle which I'd have to convert to 8 lug since my 2wd Burb is 3/4 ton and already has a 14bolt Full Float 3.73 rear end. So I'd use my rear springs and rear end. The hope that front 10bolt is 3.73 gear and just take off the 6 lug hubs and put 8 lug hubs on and I'd be in bidness with a 3/4 Fo Buh Fo Burb. My Body only has 2 spots of rust at the rear side windows, about the size of a nickel. Easily fixed. No dents either. Just needs the surface rust sanded off, then repaint it.

DOH !!! And I guess I'd need a center hump too for the Tcase to fit. But, we could always cut that out of 89S's burb too instead of butchering the new rust free or close to rust free body.

When I was doing that exhaust install I noticed this spot under the cab that paint was showing. Is this supposed to be the original factory color?

Ok, so I am shopping for repair panels for the other side of the truck. I need the rockers below both drivers side doors and the lower front section of the drivers side rear wheel well. I narrowed it down between Raybuck and LMC. Both were pretty close in pricing and shipping. Raybuck won the bid by 4 dollars. And also, Raybuck's wheel well corner is 14" high compared to LMC's 10" high. If you read earlier in this thread about how my pass side got screwed because the heigth of the LMC panel was not high enough and there was an ugly gap I had to patch, you know that I am very happy to see a 14" high panel availiable. :High 5:

So I am going to post the comparisons here for you to look at. I shopped the drivers side rockers as separate pieces and a full piece. LMC was more expensive buying them in 2 pieces and Raybuck was cheaper buying them separate. Over all Raybuck was cheaper on 3 out of the 4 parts and the shipping, but they include a 2 dollar handling fee which LMC does not.

*EDIT* - Raybucks is located in the same state as me, Pennsylvania, so they will me nailing me with sales tax. That changes the winning bid to LMC!!!!! :flipthebird:

Part 1#
Lower Front Wheel Well Panel - Drivers Side

LMC
$34.95
Raybuck
$33.75

Part #2
Rocker Panel Drivers Side Full Length - Front and Rear Door Coverage

LMC
$29.95
Raybuck
$30.50

Part #3
Drivers Side Front Door Rocker Panel

LMC
$19.95
Raybuck
$13.50

Part #4
Drivers Side Rear Door Rocker Panel

LMC
$17.95
Raybuck
$12.25

Shipping

LMC
$13.75
Raybuck
$14.95 + $2.00 Handling Fee + $4.95 tax

Nice :High 5: I look forward to seeing more progress pics and how the Raybuck panels come out :) I'd never heard of Raybuck until you started that Online Parts thread.

I won't be able to work on the truck until next weekend so in the mean time I will be ordering parts and posting up for ya guys how the shopping is going and the dealings with the different companies and pricing differences, etc.
