rubber fuel line??

I'm replacing my fuel tanks on my 84 K20 and I have gates fuel line in spools that is old 1997 stamped but never outside or in the sun been on my shelf for years.
But now this ethenol seems to degrade the std rubber fuel hose so what do you guys recommend?

I also found out you cannot reconnect the fuel lines on the driver sending unit the way it was done at the factory unless you remove the bed?? I've seen a few guys on the internet say to use about a foot long hose and then you can loop it and make it fit, not the factory look but dont want to remove the bed.

I think J30R9 is the lowest spec rubber hose that people are putting in these days. You can get ethanol rated stuff that’s nylon braid for a few bucks a foot. I’d go that route. It’s cheap insurance on your labor investment.

thank you I would imagine napa carries the newer stuff all of mine is gates in 25 or 50' rolls but old but still very usable if we didnt have to deal with the ethenol.

I use rubber hoses for all fuel lines (fuel, return, vent) works since 5 years, no signs of cracking or anything else. I bought hoses which can be used for gas, diesel, ethanol, oil, etc. They're a bit more expensive than regular fuel hoses but you don't have to worry about what's added to the gas you buy.
