I'm fearing that the extra length of the stud will either bottom out on the blind holes or protrude into the intake runners on the others..........
If you have guide plates you won’t need self aligning rockers. One or the other. Both will cause a binding situation or at least cause a potential for one. Well 16 lol

If you think it will be close, just check the depth of the blind holes. If you absolutely must use washers, use high grade, hardened washers.

Or cut the guide plate. Tying the 2 studs together will cut down on the possibility of flex. Just a thought.

Yeah, that's a good thought too.

But only because they are too short, obviously. Thanks for the pic. Easy to see the rocker reach is too far DOWN..it's just what it looks like.

I believe a pushrod length checker tool is a far better place to spend money than adjustable guideplates, almost always.

I don't know if Ronno has decked his block, what thickness his head gaskets are and etc. BUT I do know that changing cylinder heads ESPECIALLY to an aftermarket brand , changes a great many aspects of valvetrain geometery and ol boy sure was quick to answer that they were "correct".

How do you know Ronno? They look too short to me.
And then I read the rest of the thread..../smh.

Self-aligning rockers is a good idea but it's not going to make the pushrods any longer.

I really can't tell 100% in the pictures, but I think the pushrod length is probably good.

Pushrods are Comp Cams 7808 and are 7.205" long for roller cam SBC.
Block decked .0012" and head gaskets .0015".
I had a quite lengthy post about that (quench and compression ratio.)

So that begs the question about where did you get that pushrod part number? And is that s stock replacement number orrrr? Cuz I still don't think they appear long enough. The rocker looks to be over extending and rolling off the tip of the valve? It looks scary bad dude.
How tight are they in the pix?
