Tall valve covers wouldn't solve your valve cover issue? I know it does nothing for your side to side issue but, at least rockers wouldn't hit your covers. They're pretty cheap. I've got a set on mine.

Yup I have tall valve covers.
The issue is not how tall the arms/polylocks are;
the issue is the very edge at the pushrod end is contacting the vertical wall of the valve cover.
Basically stated, the end of the rocker arms may scrape the inside wall of the valve cover as they move up and down.......

mine hit as well, switched to comp cams roller tips much smaller on the side by intake, roller seemed little wider than the scorpion rockers

Thanks, Kenn.
I was hoping to stay with a full roller rocker.
Got a great deal on these:

They are self aligning, but I'll use my adjustable guide plates as well.

Are they centerbolt covers? Perimeter bolt covers should have more clearance.

With the self-aligning rockers, ditch the guideplates altogether. Besides being redundant, the angle those heads put on the rockers can cause binding when using the plates.

No, rocker adjustment process will be the same. The overall height of the studs will be lower, that's all.

I'm fearing that the extra length of the stud will either bottom out on the blind holes or protrude into the intake runners on the others..........
