It's not a square, but it isn't wrecked.

1989 Sierra SLE. 350 (needs replaced), 700r4 (good shape) and 3.08 gears (those gotta go). Not the prettiest thing on earth but for $800, I couldn't pass it up. Has a couple of dents but I can use 95% of the original body panels, not a speck of rust, never been out of Texas. The little old man I bought it from bought it from his sister who bought it new. I've seen them go for $1200-1500 in worse shape and even the wrecker driver that brought it home offered me $1200 as-is.

Actually has a nice interior save for the seat and headliner. But I hate red.

Plans are for a few upgrades and fix a few things for now. Down the road will be a TPI and bigger mods.

Nice, great price too.
Seems those red seats is quite common, maybe, scrounge a Blazer or Suburban, for a counsol and a set a buckets.

Re: Retro's latest pile.

Nice truck! Check out Gmt400.com for a great site all about these trucks if you didn't already know about it. It's one of shaggy sites as well....

I've been to gmt400...I wish there was a site like GMSB for these trucks. No drama, no pricks, loads of factory info.

Wish I could find something like that around here. That is exactly what I would like, standard cab short bed sportin' 2wd. Friggin south west states. You keep showing me this BS and I will have to think more seriously about taking a trip down there.

Probably going to switch them out when I can find some Blazer/Yukon pieces so I can run power mirrors.

Everyone ditching their squares I just might go back to a GMT800 5.3 truck again. Maybe I'll just get me a 4x4 and straight axle the bitch with a Ford Dana 60.

Did you ever do anything with your Burb Jim? I thought I see a pic where you said your FIL was doing something with it.

retro, you get rid of them door panels let me know man.

I could use a nice set like those to redo in black(same as I did mine) but minus the busted armrests and missing switches.
