replacing power steering pump

Not sure I understand the question. The PS fluid feed line from pump to steering gear is under pressure and it has threaded fittings, but the return line just has worm clamps because it has very little pressure in it. Big difference.
my pump has two returns one from the booster and one from the steering gear.i just wanted to make sure it didnt matter witch return on the pump something was connected to

I have found AC Delco reman parts to be high quality and last a long time. At least that's true for starters and alternators. I've had one of each on a 69 C10 since around 2000-2002 -- probably around 40K miles.

Those don’t really count, IMO. In my small sample of parts, thinking back, it feels like the quality was noticeably slipping around 2010. Again nothing concrete, just an observation.
