Replaced cluster lights with LEDs

I was tired of not being able to see squat when driving at night so I decided to pony up the cash for some LED bulbs in my instrument cluster. I am more than happy with the results. These lights are visible during the day! There was one spot where the LED bulb had trouble fitting. Also I had to insert the black plastic light holders into the socket and then add the bulb as they wouldn't fit through the back. I think they look pretty good. What do you guys and gals think?

Looks nice! How much did the LEDs cost? Where did you buy them from?

They do look nice and bright- but do they still dim down nicely for those times when you want the dash almost dark?

I don't think you can dim LED's can you?

Not in the traditional way. Your stock dimmer switch won't dim them.

I purchased my LEDs from superbrightleds.com. Cost right around $200 for the just the instrument cluster lights. I did do the turn signal lights as well and they are BRIGHT. These LEDS do dim a little. When I say a little I mean the difference is about the same if you were to stare directly into a head light (no dim) and then put some cheap sunglasses on while still staring into a headlight (dim). Either way it's still pretty damn bright. Overall I think I overdid it just a little and would go with some that aren't as bright next time.

I should also mention that it was suggested to buy a no load flasher relay so the turn signals would work with LEDS. I tried it out without the no load flasher and with and mine worked the same both ways.

UPDATE: I went outside to get a picture of the hazards working to show how bright the green light is and when I pushed the hazard light in I got two steady green lights and no flashing WITH the no load relay I got with my LEDs. I plugged my old relay in and they started flashing like they should. Weird.

Here is a shopping cart of what you will need to convert a gas cluster to LEDs. Diesel guys will just need to add another amber and red light for the glow plugs and WIF light.
