Hi, Gary from NJ here, I’ve been slowly restoring/ modifying my 76 Chevy C20 long bed step side former farm truck, I need to replace the doors, it seems starting in 1977, they were redesigned to accommodate power windows and had more door panel choices as well, and are actually cheaper, does anyone know of any fitment issues?

As to fitment the 'new' doors fit exactly like the 'old' ones,same hinges etc.Bear in mind tho,
the window regulators are different,the new ones are longer.If you could find a pair of later
model doors complete with power regulators,the only mod you'd have to make is a hole
drilled/cut in the cab for the wiring.But then you have to have the wiring harness.If you
can find this stuff in a salvage yard fine,buying it all new will be $$$.Get an LMC truck
catalog if you don't have one already.

Chuck, thanks, have LMC catalog , was actually going to get the doors, regulators etc from them and use ventless glass from another vendor, will build my own wiring using relays for better operation. Always a challenge which project to do next, as they are all interrelated!

Thanks! In our part of the countr, rust is the biggest enem, it’s a super low mileage truck, but rust is the enemy the floor and cab supports were totally gone but that aspect almost done, but lots to go !
