Hello
Does one brand stand out better than others as far as a sliding window, I’ve noticed that clear doesn’t seem to be available
I have no idea. My truck has an old aftermarket slider, probably from the 80's. It's dual pane slider, it was leaky and rattily when I got it but I was able to rehab it. I found some material that was like the seal they used on the slider, so replaced that and cleaned it up.

I could ask my glass guy if you like.

“Passport” is the best brand, but be prepared to pay over $300. You can still find NOS on eBay and other sites. Most of the vendors sell the same tinted 4 panel slider, they come from the same supplier.

Anyone one use the CR Laurence model, it’s in the 300+ range. Available through Carid, Amazon and DK hardware. Still haven’t found a clear one. My OE is in perfect shape, just can’t find the gasket. Truck stop appears really dark, hard to tell from pictures. The lock is sold separately?

Just found this OER brand, out of stock, like the color. Will contact them tomorrow. I’m wondering what seal the Passport uses.

The tint is cool but it’s a 3panel… 4 panel sliders are period correct and look better IMO. But as always, it’s personal preference.

I’m running the Stockland shell and would prefer the lighter unit. CR Laurence looks nice, clear discontinued. Even the OER with the lighter tint says that it’s back ordered. Call em Monday.

I'm like you. I realize the 3 panel is modern and in same ways better, but I like the 4 panel because it's period correct. I'm not a fan of tinting, but then I live in a rainy state. All of those reasons are why I rehabed my 4 panel.

Hey, I saw that yesterday too. I think you have to order their gasket to go with it. I'm tired of monkeying around with my 4 panel, so the three looks simple. As in, won't be a leaky, rattly pita. Not looking for period correct as much as leak prevention, it rains a bit out by the coast. The tint will line up with my RPO code AØ1 more than the clear someone put in here at some point.

Let us know what they told you tomorrow.

So I looked through this forum and didn't really get a clear answer and I was wondering if anyone can help me out. I am missing the trim piece in the center of my rear sliding glass. I am brand new to the square body platform and I do not know if this is factory but I am wondering whether or not I need to install an entirely new rear window or if there is a way to replace the missing piece(s). Here is a picture of the truck. If anybody knows where to buy this piece that would be very helpful information to keep my truck dry. Thanks in advance.
Have you checked LMC?

You say you rehabed your 4 panel? Did you replace the felt channels and seals? If so, where did you find them?

No, my seals were still basically in good shape. The felt was gummed up and dirty, so basically I spent quite a bit of time with a tooth brush cleaning it up and treating everything. I think I used a silicone spray. I carefully tweaked my latch so it would hold it tightly closed again.
