Placed an order though Amazon for the CR model slider.
Trucks in paint!
I replaced the rear slider in the '79 I had with a CR Lawrence. The tinted version was not very dark.

That's what I put in mine also. $40 at the local pick-n-pull. The tint isn't too dark at all.

Picking the truck up today, happy with the rear slider. A little dark for my taste however it should dampen the halogen lights from behind.

I have a similar dark slider, I love it! Having trouble backing up at night? Just open the window!

Got the truck back today. They got something on the dash that won’t come off. Notice in the picture the center light above the gauges, check engine light. California only? Having a hard time finding a replacement, might have to cut it out. Who makes the best replacement bezel, anyone know?

anyone that makes a bezel
You have a diesel truck bezel it looks like

you can replace it with any 1984 bezel im pretty close to sure but you can check online shops. one with a nice aluminum finish shouldnt be hard, but you should go complain to them about the BS they did to the face(spilled something) or make them clean it for you

you can mount soemthing like a clock on the top part to keep it for cheaper while utilizing

With computer controlled 4 barrel i suspect it possibly was a check engine light but that was below the gas gauge I think.

well you should consider selling your current one, someone could prob polish up that metal and either live with the light or have use for it (hard to find those i am pretty sure)

Nice lookin truck! Looks like they did great work!
RE the tinted window? That truck looks great like that. I’d do the side windows 20% too. Keep that sun off the interior and look good doin it.

How many of ya'll have annoying glare on your back windows? My rearview mirror is useless a lot of times because I see the reflection of the windshield in the mirror.

Been that way with two windshields, three rear view mirrors and two rear windows (sliding & single pane). Tinting the rear window didn't change anything either. Surely other square owners know what I'm talking about??!!

Reassembly in process, rear done except for the glide out spare tire carrier. Still need to install the grill and front bumper.

unfortunately not allowed to do that everywhere. I'm pretty sure the cops would shoot you and sodomize you with a night stick in NH if they found out youeven had a dream about doing that. I don't get it. Factory tint is fine, but if your car/truck didn't come with it then you can't put it on there. I think you can have a slight tint on the rear window to reduce glare if you want, but none of the side windows can be tinted unless they came that way, even the quarter glass. Now, I'm a fan of lying personally (especially to law enforcement) so I still plan to do the back/side windows of my 'burb and just say it came that way (who's gonna know different) but I don't feel like risking a DUI over having ANY tint on the front seat windows...
