Who's running what for a rear sway bar . I looked at some performance ones . I was curious if any of the squares had a stock one or if there is one from a newer truck that's adaptable.

My C35 came stock with front and rear sway bars. I'm not sure if you could adapt one but the rear end has plates that bolt to the bottom of springs with the U-bolts. This was before I shorted the end links when I lowered it.

@TPISy-C10.

Where did, or rather, what did that bar come off of? It's to big to come off a Surburban, theirs is a 3/4", crappy bar it wouldn't hold down a chicken coup. That looks like at least a 1"

@Snoots,
Call one of these places unless you know something here will fit a Blazer. Here's where you want to go. "Hellwig" has just about everything for most years pickups, etc.. I'm getting one for my truck. For my '74 it comes in 1" p/n 7726, '73-83 C10/C20 2wd, '73-85 Surburban 2wd/4wd., $500.10, p/n 7437 1 1/8" for '73-83 K10/K20 pickup 4wd. $296.34, Their ph. no. is 1-800-435-5944, 1-877-774-6473

Addco p/n 202 1", p/n 576 1 1/8" $186.77 kit

POL '73-'87 Chevy/GMC truck rear sway bar kit for C10/C20/GMC C15 (I don't have a p/n look at POL's site)

Beltech p/n 5508 '75-'86 C10 1 1/8" diam., can also see at "Andy's Autosport" andysautosport.com for $249.00

Addco p/n K1-396-OU-243 for Chevy Suburban & Yukon XL 4wd K10, 1500, '73-'91 rear 1" $196.11

Check with Western Chassis to.

Also you can look at "Cognito" at cognitomotorsports.com rear p/n 110-90257 1.3" diam. kit

The only reason why I had this handy is because I built a folder of this kind of stuff for my truck and I reached right down to it. Otherwise I'd have to be looking this stuff up one thing at a time. I've done all the work already. Enjoy! And there are more places.

You can add UMI to the list as well. That is the one I am considering as it is adjustable.

Anyone have any info for the later squares....4x4? I'd rather try stock (GM) over spending $300 for Hellwig.

My 86 K2500 is also a Camper Special but it doesn't have the anti-sway bar. I think all the dually Camper Specials have the bar, but not the regular like my K2500.

Thanks....and hope the OP doesn't mind adding further info on general 2wd/4wd options. Anyway, I wonder what all a CUCV rear sway bar will work on. I noticed a few pics and discussions about it, but not to the extent of using it on other models.

Again, if 85 SQ (can't tag him for some reason with the @ symbol) has an issue adding to this, please holler at us and I'll stop.

@Camer068,

No, not at all. The listings I gave were for more years than like my '74. Many of them were for '80's models "K's" Check with Addco. And Western Chassis for less expensive units. Yeah, I know Hellwig is pricey. But with some of these places they'll have a 'universal" bar instead of one that fits my year truck, like Hellwig. Then again some of them won't have anything for earlier year trucks just newer ones than my year. Many times if, for instance if a bar fits like my truck, unless there's something in the way like how the exhaust is arranged, one bar will fit a whole bunch more trucks than those listed. A lot of times you just have to call them then they'll say, " Oh yeah, ours fits your truck." even though it's not listed.

Also to, one thing you have to watch for is whether or not the leaf spring pack in on top of the diff. tube or under it whether a bar will work. Like in the 80's Suburban's GM changed the leaf springs from underneath to on top the differential tube, one side or the other I can't remember. In that case what you'll have to look for is one of those steel block looking things the rear sway bar was attached to that was for bolting the leafs to, in 'burb's. I looked and looked at wreaking yards and never could find one. If your springs are flipped you'll need one of those if you are using stock bars. Sometimes LMC may have some of these stock bars and hardware for a little bit, but not as bad as some after market ones.

@shiftpro,

Wow, that's weird yours doesn't have a rear sway bar what with it being a Camper Special. I would assume it would have come with one from the factory. Are you sure someone before you maybe took it off?

@Bennyt,
Yep, UMI. Thanks Benny.

I can't remember does CPP have rear bars? I would think they would. @Camer068, you might check with them to but now we're going back to expensive again. Dang!
