Did you check the back lash? Looks like way to much. Need to move the ring gear closer to the pinion.

Unfortunately, I didn’t check the backlash. I’m just the average guy working on this thing so I didn’t think to measure it when I did the spool. I will say that I did play around with the ring gear when the spiders were out. I was twisting the ring gear forwards and backwards to see if I could find any absurd slop. To me, it seemed to be a little sloppy. I have watched videos on the correct backlash and it seems like the correct backlash involves hardly any slop. Mine on the other hand did have a little slop. Also, I am not experienced... I am just comparing what I saw in mine to what I saw on YouTube tutorials.

Unfortunately I paid $1,450 for the truck,

wow...in Austria you would have paid 7000-10000$ for a truck like this...

Installing a limited slip or trutrac differential is the same work as spool or open diff. I would think about it.
I'm running eaton limited slip diffs, they can be tuned to your liking with different springs and clutches.
A right done rear end will hold up like forever except you abuse it with high power or burn it.
