Please send the number of your freight broker. I need to start contracting with him instead of the smelly guys here down South. :rockit::rotflmao::laughing1:

Keep in mind, bumpers get dented and bent. Other drivers in parking lots are idiots. On my Tundra, I have replaced my rear bumper 3 times in 6 years. People back up without looking or pull forward and don't pay attention and hit you and then just drive off. I'd hate to take an original bumper and pay almost a grand to have it chromed, only to have some idiot back in to it. I'd much rather have a quality repop that I can just order with insurance proceeds, and quickly put it back on.

Another angle. Happy with this GMC Paul's bumper

Thats looks REALLY good. Do they coat the backsides with anything? Last few bumpers I had replated had a gray or black epoxy on the backs. Just curious.

My bumper guards are in nice shape - no dents...but slightly hazed. That and one of the studs broke off. Think I can get that fixed though.

So you had the guards replated? Send them away or someplace local? I'm only about an hour south of you.

Looks like they did a great job. I think Brother's has repops for <$300. but no idea what those are like either.
Yes, Brothers has repop bumper guards for $269. But I don’t know about the quality. I’m sure just like most repops, they aren’t as good as Original

Dynamic metal finishing in Detroit is where I took the Bumper guards, he made them glass smooth and quality chrome. $200

THX very much for this.

There is a plater just over the line in Indiana from Lima called J&P Custom Plating. I got their card from a guy who had had all the chrome on his Olds 442 redone and it was excellent. I sent them a pic of my OE bumper with no dings and he responded "$600-800, depending on how much repair is needed". Its pretty good so hopefully closer to $600. I could see spending that on an OE bumper.

Yes, Dynamic wanted $800 for chrome on my original Bumper, I opted for the LMC repop

(Side note) because the original plating was so good on my OEM bumper and guards on my other C1500, I was able to recondition them with rubbing compound and elbow grease, then on to the polisher. Sounds like maybe yours are also in good shape? It’s worth a try
