shiftpro, Yes I did order the greaseable parts.

gotyourgoat, I think it was making noise and ruining the ride for longer than I realized. It was just over a long period and slow deterioration that it kinda crept up on me to the point where one day I just thought "Wow! my truck rides and sounds like hell!"

That's what happened to me today with my exhaust manifold. It had a slight tick when cold but would go away in a minute or two. Today, it sounded like something was being slapped around under the hood. New one will be picked up tonight.

The same thing happened to me when I first bought my truck many many years ago. Previous owner had driven like that so long it even wore a flat spot in the frame with it rubbing all the time.

My first project was new shocks and the greaseable bushings with the slightly longer shackles. The shackles are actually the same length that GM went to starting I think in 1987.

That's odd. Normally for me they have shipped in the next day or two from when placing an order.
