I have a '78 GMC C15 with a bone stock 350 and original factory exhaust. I would like to replace the exhaust with dual pipes and for it it to have a more agressive (but not overly so) sound. I don't want to run straight pipes. About how much $$$ am I looking at for a muffler shop to do this? I know that there are a million options, but I'm on a fairly tight budget at the moment. I would love at some point to put headers on it as well, but like I said.....tight budget.

Dual pipes and glass packs. You can choose the noise level by length of muffler. Here it's 400+ for a system from manifold to behind rear axle.

There are some mufflers that have one input pipe and two exit pipes where the pipe splits in the muffler.

There are a lot of good options for a budget muffler. The FlowFX has a really good sound, IMO. Had one on my old S10 with a 4.3 and I have one on my '89 K1500 with a 350. Both completely stock, and I couldn't be happier with the sound.

I can't wait to get the glasspacks off of my '85. It sounds way too Harley-ish for my taste.

Dualed 454 with Flowmaster 44's dump out side before rear tires. Not too loud but sounds good to me. Oh Lt hedders also. It was 500 bucks from headders back.
