quadrajet question

I had my Q-Jet rebuilt and cant believe the difference from before to now. Mine was leaking around the accalerator pump and from somewhere on the back right side near the vac for the seconderies

i figured it would have to be done on mine for a while. but i was trying to put it off. i stated the truck the other day and smelled gas back and popped the hood and looked and it was pouring gas from between the bottom plate the throttle plate.

Yea i was doing some tune up stuff and decided to change my fuel filter and it started leaking gas all over the damn place after the new filter was put it lol. I guess the old filter was pretty restrictive lol.

Get a new float also.I have done hundreds of these carbs,feedback and nonfeedback.Do the shaft bushings and well epoxy fixes.What year truck is it and is it computor controlled??If it is C-4 then it is sensitive to ALL the correct adjustments.

its a 79 and no it isnt computer controlled

well fellas its rebuild and back on the truck and running damn god. just needs to be adjusted a little bit, but i have a friend of mine coming to adjust it.

Right on! did you get the throttle shafts re bushed?

yea i took it i think it was friday. didnt take long for them to do it and i got it rebuilt last night and put on this morning.
