Never occurred to me that folks on a website dedicated to old trucks and greasy finger nails would be that pretentious.

Maybe expound on that. I don’t see removing the rear shocks doing much either way for ride in a 3/4 ton (with no weight in the back).
Not sure I can even tell the difference between blown shocks, no shocks and new shocks on the back of the K20. The difference is subtle.
Now the front is a whole different story.
