Purchasing an Air Compressor

Does the owner manuals say where it came from or who made it for them?

Was in lowes today so I wandered over to look at the compressors. They had the 80 gal. by Kobalt and CH side by side, they're exactly the same except for the color. It even says in the Kobalt manual that the warranty is covered by Campbell Hausfeld.

The motors are made in Brazil and the pumps are from China. Standard pricing has the Kobalt at $50 more, probably because the specs indicate the Kobalt runs at a slightly higher pressure. I'm sure that some buyers will think that indicates a better compressor without realizing they have the exact same pressure switch, the CH is just set lower. I lowered the shut-off point on my HF from 175 down to 115 right away to prolong the pump life. All it took was a screwdriver and 30 seconds of my time.
